IELTS 2024: Dates, Registration, Pattern, Score Validity, and Sample Papers

The British Council and IDP Education System offer the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) as an English language proficiency test to determine eligibility for employment, education, and permanent residency in nations like Australia, Canada, the UK, New Zealand, and others.

Which Test should I take?

IELTS Academic and IELTS General are the two formats in which it is offered. You can register for the IELTS by selecting an ideal test day and center. The exam costs INR 16,250 for the pen-and-paper version of the IELTS. The exam lasts for 2 hours and 45 minutes in total. The exam may be performed by candidates up to four times per month. After the test, the IELTS score is typically available two to five days later.

• The applicant must be at least 16 years old.
• Documents like passports are mandatory.

IELTS 2024 Application Form

Applicants have two options for enrolling in the IELTS: online or in person at the closest IDP location.

IELTS Online Registration

• Step 1: visit www.ieltsidpindia.com, the official IELTS IDP webpage.
• Step 2: Click on the “Book IELTS” button located in the upper right corner.
• Step 3: Choose the test type, module, and desired city to take the test in.
• Step 4: Select the preferred date and time for the IELTS exam from the provided selection.
• Step 5: Complete the form and attach the required files as instructed.
• Step 6: Finish the payment procedure with a debit card, credit card, or net banking.

IELTS Offline Registration

The IELTS exam registration form needs to be downloaded by candidates from the official website. Choose the test date manually and fill out the other IELTS requirements on the form. The candidate must submit payment by cash (to pay cash, visit the closest ICICI bank with a payment slip) or demand draft (demand drafts must be written in favor of “IDP Education India Private Limited, Payable at New Delhi”). On the registration form, the candidate must provide a suitable address for Blue Dart courier.
